Murau's only real ski resort, open every ski season. Three-star comfort in a real authentic Austrian building, offering an unforgettable experience. A place where you will feel at home! Our hotel is located right next to the lift, so after a full day of skiing you are just a few steps away from our cosy restaurant, where we offer hearty meals and refreshing local drinks.
Leisure time activities
In Winter, as well as in summer our region offers a variety of leisure time activities for people of all ages. Enjoy an active day on the mountain or take a historical guided tour through Murau. Taste the traditional Murauer Beer in our new Beer Pharmacy or learn about the whole history of the beer in the brewery of senses.
There is something for every taste. Kids and adults can improve their knowledge about wood in our famous wood museum and can take a ride with the nostalgic train “Murtalbahn” through our beautiful nature.
Services
The Waldschlössl Gasthof is located right next to the ski lift, so it is very important to us to ensure the comfort of our skiers. We offer a heated ski storage room on the ground floor of our small but charming hotel.
After a long day of sport, you can enjoy the perfect combination of snow and sunshine on our terrace, where you can try local specialities. Refresh yourself with a glass of Murauer beer, an Aperol spritz or warm up with a hot tea and mulled wine before a delicious dinner.
On cold winter days in the snowy mountains, nothing warms the body and soul like a hot steam sauna. Hot steam and a few relaxing minutes are the perfect end to an active day.
Restaurant
To fully enjoy a full day's touring, you need a little boost. For our guests, our restaurant offers an excellent and full buffet breakfast. And in the evening, we offer an optional dinner menu and delicious desserts. We won't forget the iconic Wiener schnitzel!
